Putting two or more organizations together and executing a marketing campaign isn't the hard part. Creating a mutually shared vision that deeply inspires all parties, and having thepublic realize there is real, tangible value in the cause marketing offering - that is the hard part. The creative focus must be on this transformation - from diverse marketing objectives to a motivational call-to-action for a greater good.
This inspirational transformation is the trademark of Bruce W. Burtch. Through his unique business style as a catalyst, he propels the partners to achieve something new, many times creating amazing results that have not existed before this relationship. These results provide multiple benefits for all involved while instilling passion, connecting diverse partners, attracting media attention and creating strong marketplace impact.
Recognizing the serious need for a child to have a safe place to play and learn, Bruce spearheaded the all-volunteer drive to build the Tenderloin After-School Program, the first free-of-charge educational, recreational and cultural children's program in San Francisco's most crime-ridden neighborhood.
A multiple-partner collaboration joined the effort, including local businesses, nonprofit building owners, unions, volunteers and corporate and individual donors. The Tenderloin After-School Program rose from concept to completion in less than 13 months, resulting in commendations from President Bill Clinton, Senator Dianne Feinstein and San Francisco Mayor Frank Jordan, among many others. The Tenderloin After-School Program continues to serve as a national model for inner-city programs for underserved youth, and for inspiring partnerships among vastly diverse community organizations to achieve together what none could have done alone.
“Upon meeting Bruce, I was impressed immediately with his forthright enthusiasm and charisma. Years later, I still marvel at his remarkable integrity, dedication to achieving results, and sheer delight in his work. Bruce is wonderful to work with, clear about goals, and relentless in his determination to get results. I recommend Bruce most highly as a natural leader.”
